As our dedicated in-house electrician you will be tasked with driving our growth and diversification into microgeneration whilst supporting our existing external insulation retrofit teams.
You will spend a portion of your time removing external electrical fixtures (lights etc), extending them and re-fitting them post-install and retrofitting extract fans to kitchens and bathrooms on our flagship Barnsley retrofit project.
The remainder (and bulk) of your time will be spent installing and commissioning solar PV systems, battery storage appliances and EV charge points. Candidates missing experience or qualifications in this type of work will be given fully funded training and sponsored routes to industry recognised qualifications.

Requirements
Essential
- Demonstrable experience in electrical installation, maintenance, inspection & testing, fault finding & repairs.
- City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
- 18th Edition qualified.
- Full (preferably clean) driving licence.
- Excellent communication skills with both clients/customers and fellow team members.
- Knowledge and understanding of health & safety on live building sites.
- Hard working, punctual, conscientious and well-organised.
- Exemplary standard of workmanship.
- Must be driven/motivated and you must possess a desire to progress your career.
- Must be flexible and unafraid of ‘mucking-in’. We are a strong team and we all strive to help each other.
- Must not be shy of paperwork and must be capable of completing certificates and reports.
Desired
- City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
- Experience in solar PV/battery storage/EV charge point installation.
- Experience in satellite dish alignment.
- Experience in CCTV.
- Ability to start immediately.
